How It Works
This infusion combines IV fluids with B12, B-complex, and magnesium. Vomiting and diarrhea drain fluid and electrolytes quickly, and IV fluids replace them without relying on a stomach that can’t keep much down, while B vitamins and magnesium replenish nutrients lost while you’ve been unwell. Your nurse can also add an anti-nausea medicine and an antacid to settle your stomach, if appropriate. If you have a high fever, blood in your stool, or can’t keep fluids down for more than a day, see a doctor first.
